Recent Achievements
During the first 18 months of the project, the component
focused attention on the development of key curriculum
modules related to integrated reproductive health,
EOC, LTPMs and IPC. The Training and Clinical Services
(TCS) component worked with the districts to expand
the range of services on IMCI, PAC, ARH, and LTPMs,
and supported the equipping of a range of health facilities
and training and supervision of more than 1000 service
providers in both the public and NGO sectors. TCS
strengthened existing, district training teams and
established District Training and Supervision Teams.
The component also developed innovative distance learning
approaches to train nurse aides.
